Upgrading to ultimate from office 2000

We can't find the original Office 2000 insall disks any more. Can we purchase
and install Office Pro Ultimate upgrade without the original disks or key?

If it's not already installed on a computer, no. And even if it is, when it
comes time to put Office on yet another computer, you will not have the
qualifying product you need.. Somewhere along the line, you need the full
version - might as well get it now.

The upgrade routes for Office 2007 seam to be more liberal than other
versions you can use Works as a qualifying product if all else fails it
would be much cheaper to buy works and upgrade from that.
