Upgrading Trial Versions

I am trying to find out how to convert a Trial version of Office Standard
Edition 2003. I am wanting to use Office 2003 Professional, but I am worried
about losing Outlook and Word settings and data.

If I do this, will I lose my Outlook contact data, calendar, user settings,
Word files, Word Macros, Word Toolbars, etc. How do I do this and not lose
anything?

This is the closest answer I found in the data base.

Q. How do I uninstall the trial from my computer if I decide not to convert
the software or I choose to purchase another Microsoft Office 2003 Edition?

A. It is not necessary to uninstall the trial if you choose not to convert
the software. However, if you choose to purchase another Microsoft Office
2003 Edition (for example, Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003) then
it is recommended to uninstall the trial software prior to loading the
software. To uninstall the trial, you should follow these steps:

1.
To open Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Control Panel, and then
double-click Add or Remove Programs

2.
Click Change or Remove Programs

3.
Scroll down until you find Microsoft Office 2003. Please note that there
may be nothing in the Change or Remove Programs dialog box that indicates
that the program is a trial.

4.
Click Microsoft Office 2003 and then click Remove, the program will then
run through the uninstall process.

An Office user's files are stored in the operating system's "Files and
Settings" folder. They will remain there if you uninstall Office and
reinstall a different version of Office.

Can you be more specific where can I find the files and settings folder you
are referring to?

Better than upgrading a trial version is to purchase the full version with CD from someplace other than Microsoft such as Amazon.com - free shipping and better prices.

Again, sigh,

Can you be mores specific with the entire string name as to what are the
file names are likely located and what sub folder and sub-sub folder, etc,
etc, of the Document and Setting, for my contacts list, calendar, word
macros and word settings and other settings for the entire Office Suite.

I would like to check to see that they are infact there, make copies, in
case they get wiped during the updating process.

Thanks,
