No, they won't. Office 2003 uses a storage format which is incompatible with
earlier versions, and there aren't (TTBOMK) any converters. If you didn't
back up your data before installation, I believe it's irretrievable.

FYI-I decided to remove the trial version of office. When I did so and
reinstalled office 2000 my settings were restored...Thanks for the assistance.
