Uploading Project Documents in 2007

When any of my users perform a mass document upload to their project
workspaces the owner of the document varies and is never the user that
performs the upload.

Is their a setting somewhere that would need to set?

When doing a mass upload of documents, the system does not select an Owner
value for each document. The user then needs to edit the Properties for
each document individually and specify an Owner. This is clumsy, but I do
not believe there is any way around this. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale

I am able to change the owner on the ones that are uploaded with an owner
but I did have some that when moved from the 2003 project workspaces to a
2007 project workspace, a random owner was assigned to those documents.

The other problem is that when you do a mass upload, all documents are in a
checked-out state once in project server. Is there a way to automatically
check them in after the upload? or the upload process itself checking them
in??

obviously the problem is that we have thousands of docs that need to be
uploaded and it is just not possible to check them in manually one-by-one!!

Please advise.

Thanks.

Maybe it is no good place for this question, but... One of users, with
Administrators permissions on Project Documents, can not edit any document
(using Edit document in Word, Excel, PowerPoint on document's drop-down
list), make changes, and save it directly on Server. He can only open the
document in Internet Explorer page and save the changes on his hard disc, and
then upload the document to Server. Until today, he could do the editing...
