Upper case to lower case folder names ....

I changed an capitalized folder name "Sources" to lower case "sources" in the folder list, not FrontPage. I now know what a stupid thing that was. On a file list, and in the "open file" and "close file" windows, the folder name is "sources." However, in the publishing windows, there is only "Sources." After publishing, the remote site has both "Sources" and "sources" some of the contents of that folder upload to a file "Sources" and some to "sources." The code looks for lowercase, so it is necessary to copy files from Sources to sources to avoid broken links. If I eliminate the "Sources" directory entirely, I get an error during publishing because there is one file - a thumbnail file looks like, extension .db - that needs to go there
I think I have a problem in some control info. But I have no idea how to fix it without resaving every page in this web (over 300) to a new web. Hoping for an easy way out.

In windows explorer find and delete all FP Temp Files and all hidden system files *.web

Open your local web and
Delete the file thumbs.db (the thumbnails you see in Windows explorer)
- it is created by windows explorer when you view folders outside of FP
- you can prevent them by turning them off in Windows Explorer (Tools -View -Folder Options -View)
Rename the correct folder to something else other than "sources"
- FP should adjust all links,
Then move your files to the correct newly renamed folder (if they are not there)
Run a tools recalculate hyperlinks, rename the folder back to "sources", again Run a tools recalculate hyperlinks, and try
republishing
