Upsized primary key fields and "aaaaa"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can get excellent performance and
very good response to business change using normal forms.

You fail to mention what you have replaced them with and where we can find
the rational to abandon them and adopt what ever you are using.

Tom Groszko

BCNF and 5NF are the most fundamentally important normal forms,
dealing with functional and join dependencies respectively. BCNF
effectively superseded 2NF and 3NF but some database modellers and
many books fail to take note and often define 3NF informally and
wrongly as BCNF.

Aaron is mostly a troll but on this occasion maybe he had something
useful to say.

Whenever possible please post enough code to reproduce your problem.
Including CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements usually helps.
State what version of SQL Server you are using and specify the content
of any error messages.
