URGENT - Issues/Risks don't update on Home Page (but do elsewhere)

Hello,

We have found a stange problem that seems to be confined to the Home
Page....

When an Issue or Risk is assigned to an individual on an existing project it
does not appear as an issue on their home page.

However the Issues and Risks appear perfectly everywhere else - for example
in the All Risks assigned to me page they all appear.

This problem seems confined only to the Home Page. Bizarrely if I create a
NEW project and assign risks and issues to that project then they DO appear
in the assignee's home page.

Can anyone help please ? I am supposed to be showing this to our senior
management tommorrow to convince them to move to a full rollout but I can't
do that until I resolve this problem....

Hi James,

Frankly, this one is new to me as this is a new product and we are going to
find 'fun' things like this together :)

Anyway, here are my ideas:

1) Login to MSP Client as a user with rights to open/save the project(s) in
question.
2) Go to the "Collaborate->Publish->Project Plan" menu items and choose
"Project Plan with Summary".
3) Exit Project and Logoff Project Web Access (if needed) and login as the
user who needs to the issues. See if that fixes the problem.

-AND/OR-

1) Login to Project Web Access (PWA) as a user with administrative
priveleges.
2) Go to "Admin->Manage Windows SharePoint Services->Synchronize
Administrator Accounts".
3) Logoff and log back in as the user who needs to see the issues.

Hi Bill,

We had in fact already tried those things ( and running COM+, etc).

We think that becuase every other aspect of Sharepoint related to issues and
risks seems to work just fine that it may be a probelm with permissions on
the home page. I am not sure how this would have happened or how to fix it
though ! It just seems like its only one page (the home page) and the
problem is the same for every user. Even if you assign yourself to an issue
you can't see it on the home page, even after logging in again !

Hi James,

Try going to PWA and going to Manage STS. Then, manage the site in question
and try re-adding the resource.
