URGENT: Non project, 1yr task 0% resource not current task?

Has anyone come up with the definitive answer for
recording non project time and have it appear in the cube
without extending? (Any speedy reply would be fantastic as
we are launching the system tomorrow to the group most
impacted by this area).

The latest recommendation (reading all the threads) seems
to be create an admin project, with the task at 1yr fixed
duration, not effort driven, and assign resources as 0%
units.

However such tasks only appear in the 'current tasks'
timesheet view until the start date of the task is a few
weeks old (or whatever admin has set as current).

It also seems that if you set a value % (say 1% ~ 20 hrs)
when the user adds time to it, and eventually time
remaining = 0, the task disappears from current view.

Also tried using a recurring task with 0% resource
allocation but this doesnt seem to work either..

Any thoughts anyone?

Did you try using the nonworking time categories that the
admin sets up ion PWA??
