After much frustration and trickery, I've been able to get movies to appear and play without flashing. Is it possible to hold the movie at it's end (via pause or stop action) and advance to the next slide without "flashing"? Thanks in advance.

ISTR the flashing being an issue with MPEG1 files, I think it is. You might
try converting to, say, WMV or something like that and see if it behaves
better.
