I am stressed. I am trying to print a service sheet for my grandmother's
funeral. My printer has a manual duplex function, but it isn't available for
the type of media I'm using (photo matte). I need to print the front and the
back (pages 1 and 4) in one run, then turn the card over and print the
insides, (obviously pages 2 and 3). Time is running out and I'm stressing! I
thought the duplex add-in might do it, but I don't think it will. I just
want to print the outside in one run, and the inside in another.

I have to have this done by tomorrow morning! There *MUST* be a way to
accomplish this, but I can't figure it out (other than setting it up as two
separate publications). I need 200 copies and I'm not going to stand over
the ruddy thing and turn the card over for each one, having it hit the
resume button each time!

If anyone doesn't know what version I'm running by now, shame on you, but
I'll tell you anyway - it's 2003. I think I found at least six grey hairs
this morning!

I don't drink, but this is enough to drive me to it!

HELP!!

I think if you use book printing options and chose print page 1, p4 will tag
along. the program asks if print as seperate booklet. "no". turn paper over
and repeat, chosing print page2. hope this helps

Thank you both! It's been three years since I've had to do one - you're both
lifesavers! Still stressed though!

Blessings,

If I do what you suggest, I've realised, I don't get what's on the back. I
have stuff on every page, and this is driving me mad! If anyone can tell me
how I can do this, please do because I just don't understand it. It
shouldn't be that difficult! All I want to do is print pages 1 AND 4 then 2
TO 3.

I was supposed to be going out tonight, but I've had to cancel because I
need to get this done!

so, when you do a file/print page 1 (booklet printing enabled) pages 4/1
print on the front, No? select 200 copies & Print. then turn the paper over
and do file print page 2, pages 2-3 should print. Sorry, miss, I'm confused
about what is being tried and what is happening.

Hi,

I wrote the following info for Pub2000 but maybe
it will offer something useful:

How to create and print a half fold greeting card
with MS Publisher 2000...by John Inzer

With a new blank project on screen...
Go to...File / Page Setup...
Choose...Special Fold / Book Fold...
Width....5.5
Height...8.5
Landscape / OK / Yes.

Click Yes when it asks you to insert three pages.

Add your images, text, etc.

Print Instructions:

Go to...File / Print...

(print outside of card)

Print Range...*Current Page* / From: 1 to: 4

OK.

Print as separate booklet? No.

OK.

After the printing is complete...remove the paper
and reinsert it in your printer tray.

Go to...File / Print...

(print inside of card)

Print Range...*Pages* / From: 2 to: 3

NO!!! Only page 1 prints - page 4 is BLANK!! That easier for you to
understand?! Sorry if I'm short, but so is my fuse! I even tried converting
it to PDF, but the quality was terrible! It isn't rocket science.

I'd attach it here, but it's a little large (420K uploaded). Small
attachments are permitted here, but I'm not sure I can post one of that
magnitude.

Sarah,

E-mail it to me. I don't have Pub 03 but you should be able to save it
as a Pub 02 file.
