URL display style

Hi Guys,

Am I missing something simple here, or is there really no way to stop PP
from turning a URL into styled type?

I happily slapped a URL on my Master, only to see it distorted into PP's own
idea of a useful style, which happens to be a ghastly coral pink.

I know the poor thing's just trying to be helpful but I ask you; coral pink?

Rob,

The way powerpoint colors hyperlinks to urls is determined by the "color
scheme"

See Format menu > slide color scheme > custom
Slot 7 is for "accent and hyperlink"

Another alternative (that works for me), assuming you do want the url to be
an actual hyperlink to the webpage

Is to draw a rectangle autoshape
Right click>action settings>on click>hyperlink to this url
Then F2 to edit the text in the box.....type your url as you require.

Powerpoint ignores that fact that it is a web address...but the action
setting makes it act like a url
