USB Bar Code Scanner

I have a USB bar code scanner that will not scan corectley in Excel, but
works fine in Dos and Notebook, I can scan a barcode that should read
5811004ZYI but it shows as 58+I11+I1100+I1Y+O1I+AG1♪ any thing I can change
in excel to corect this,
