use a form to do a query return results in a form

Hi,
having a problem. I have a form that inputs data into tables and its
working. the problem is that i want to be able to create another form that
allows a user to enter in certain information they are looking for in the
form, press a button, search for that data, and return it in a FORM view. I
can do a query, but the results are returned in the datasheet mode. Can
anyone help?
Also, dont know if this matters but there is a subform in that form as well
