use names from an old distribution list to make a new one

Is it possible in Outlook 2002 SP3 to take names from an existing
distribution list and use tem to make a new list? I need to keep the old
distribution list in tact. Cut and paste would be great but it does not work
… it’s not an option.
HELP!

Can't you just use "Copy to Folder...: to create a copy of this DL?
