Use of a virtual disk and Project Server 2007

Robert

Hello,
This question is quite out of the subject "Project Server 2007", but perhaps
a system guru could help me.
I expect to create, with Acronis True Image, a virtuel disk from the
partition where Project Server 2007 is installed (Small farm, only one
server).
For ex. rigth now the URL for the SharePoint Central Administration page is
http://myserver:14107/default.aspx
What could be this URL if I use the virtual disk on another machine?
Thanks for your help.

Robert:

Assuming that you're converting the image to a VHD, then the machine, when
started, will be a complete mirror image of the system it was cloned from.
So, all of your URLs will remain the same, unless you rename the machine. If
the machine you are cloning is a domain member, it's going to wakeup
looking for its domain. You need to consider the impact of this before you
build your image this way.
