use outlook contacts as address book in word

I have tried to email and address envelopes and I cannot access my contact
list in Outlook when using Word. I have tried the suggested methods and
still do not get Outlook, I get Outlook Express which I do not use.

Is Outlook set as your default Email program? Start - Settings - Control
Panel - Internet Options - Programs tab.

In Outlook, have you enabled using your contacts folder as an Address book?
Right-click the Contacts folder, choose Properties - Outlook Address Book
tab, and make sure that "Show this folder as an e-mail Address book" is
checked.
