Use value list in default cost field

Hi all,
I know how to put a value list into cost1, cost2 etc.
But how to restrict the default cost (or duration) field?
Is this possible? or am i not seeing something

Hi,

Cost and Duration fields are calculated by Project and cannot be restricted,
sorry
