The user is a PM in the group membership. The security setting allows PMs to
see and add resources. How do I validate the RBS permits or denies resource
add privileges??
I don't know the default permissions, but to determine whether or not
the RBS is affecting this, look at the permissions for the groups that
contain this user (Modify Group in PWA). In the "Categories: Select
the categories that can be..." section, select each different category
and note whether the "Assign Resource" permission is selected. Note
that this permission can be turned on for some categories but not for
others. You will now have a list of categories from which resources
can be assigned.
Now you need to find out what resources are included in those
categories. Go to "Manage Security" and examine the categories. In the
"Resources: Select the resources whose information can/cannot ..."
section look at who is selected. If the options: "Allow users in this
category to view information for all resources that they manage." or
"Allow users in this category to view information for all resources
that they manage directly." are selected than the RBS dictates who is
included in this "dynamic" category.
