User Does Not Have Access Privilege

I could not get some of my Office 2000 files to open with PowerPoint or Word because of the following Dialog Message "The document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions. *Check the file permission for the document or drive. *Use the file open dialog box to locate the document.", and this for PowerPoint “User does not have access privileges†after trying the suggestions I received and they do not work. I upgraded too Office XP Professional 2002 hoping that this would help now I get a different Message, when I try to open a file with Word or double click the file I get this message “User does not have access privileges†and if I try to open it in Wordpad or Notepad I get “Access Deniedâ€. I have installed SP1, 2 & 3 and I am not running anything of Notion’s. This is on a home computer and I am the only one to use it. Any new suggestions?
