User does not have privileges

Hello to everybody,
when I want to edit some equation in Microsoft Word 2003, or Microsoft Power
Point 2003, I obtaine the following message:
Word can not open the document: User does not have access privileges.
The document that I edit is created with Microsoft Word XP
Can somebody help me please?
