user level security

I am getting ready to user level security on a database -access 2003. I am
going to place the database ( access 2003) on network before I start building
security on it. I think the shortcut file ( is that the .mdw file) will
automatically not be placed on the network but on my desktop.
is it possible to copy it back on the network. and when I go to other users
desktops to give them a shorcut- I can just drag that shortcut to their
desktops?

be split to run successfully on a network, with the front-end residing on
