Glen,
First, you have posted to a newsgroup that is destined to be shut down
(although I don't know when). Please see our MVP website at:
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and look at FAQ 24 - Project Newsgroups

To answer your question, here are the instructions for creating a new
menu item and assigning a macro to it. Note: this was written for a
specific macro I had - obviously you will need to change some names.

1. Go to View/Toolbars/Customize (or right click on a blank area in the
menu or toolbars)
2. On the Commands tab of the customize window scroll down to "New Menu"
in Categories list box. A "New Menu" item will appear in the Commands
box.
3. Select the New Menu item and with the left mouse button down, drag
the New Menu item up to the toolbar to the right of the Help menu and
release the mouse button. The New Menu item will still be highlighted
4. In the customize window, select the "Modify Selection" button.
5. In the pop up that appears, change the name of the New Menu to
"Accounting Month Export" or whatever name you like.
6. Select "All Macros" in the Categories list box. If the "AcctMonth"
module was transferred to your Global per the "installation instructions
for macro and user interface", the macro "Setup_Options" will be
available in the Commands list box.
7. Select the Setup_Options macro and while holding the left mouse
button down, drag it so it is over the Accounting Month Export menu. You
will see a black "I" bar on the left of the menu title. While still
holding the mouse button down, drag down slightly from the menu title
and a small box will appear.
8. When the black "I" appears in the small box, release the mouse
button. The macro name will appear in the box.
9. While the Setup_Options box is still highlighted, select the "Modify
Selection" button in the customize window.
10. In the pop up that appears, rename the submenu item to "Setup
Options" (without the underscore).
11. You can verify that the submenu will initiate the macro by hitting
"Assign Macro..." in the pop up and seeing Macro "Setup_Options" in the
Command box of the Customize Tool window that appears.
12. If you make a mistake in the above sequence, the new menu item can
be deleted by either selecting it and dragging it to the customize
window or selecting it and then selecting "Modify selection" followed by
"Reset" or "Delete" at the top of the pop up.
13. When finished, hit the Close button of the customize window. The new
menu item and macro will be saved to your Global and will be available
for any Project file that is opened.

Hope this helps.
