user name followed by string of numbers in to: field?

hello all,

when i try to email one user in our organization using his
user name (jsmith for example), autocomplete comes up with
jsmith22013379 and then, when i hit return, fills in his
full name -- john smith. any reason for the string of
numbers? any way to fix that? many thanks...

My guess is that you have "jsmith22013379" in your autocomplete cache and a
contact "John Smith" (whose address includes that name/number). The
autoresolution substitutes the contact name (with an underline) for the
cached string.

i would have thought so too, but when i remove him from
the autocomplete cache and start fresh the string comes
back... any suggestions?
