User receives but cannot send anything

Basically, it seems the user is not able to send data whether it be IMs,
data, requests, online status, etc. Here are the symptoms:
1. Others can send him workspace invitations and IMs, but no one receives
his replies or acceptances.
2. He sees the online status of the people he has added to his contacts
list. Others always see him as offline.

He has Windows XP and this has been occurring regardless of what version of
Groove he or anyone else is using (i.e. 3.1 or 2007). Please help, thanks.

Best regards,

While I can not be sure, it sounds like the XP Firewall exception was not
enabled. Check the XP Firewall and be sure Groove is allowed. For those
that need to know what ports to allow for Groove;

Inbound and Outbound: tcp/2492 and udp 1211

Outbound only: tcp/80 and tcp/443

Just a quick question.
Do you use the same Relay server as the other people and second when you and
your users are in the same subnet do you have the same problem then.
I need this info to be sure what the problem can be.

see ya

Jeroen,

I am checking what relay server the other user has. In the meantime, I do
not know how to know when I am in the same subnet as the user. Please let me
know how to do that. Thank you very much.

just run ipconfig on both machine check if you are in the same subnet.
example: 192.168.0.x with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and the other machine
should have 192.168.0.x as an ip address.
Hopefully you understand what i mean. If you give me the ip adresses form
your machine and form the other user then i can check. Usually when you work
in the smae room then you have the same subnet. But thats usually off
course.

See ya
Jeroen
