Interesting issue: user running WinXP SP2 and MS Office 2003 SP2.
When starting MS Word, it brings up the usual window with menu and then
toolbars beneath. After a few seconds the menu and toolbars disappear, the
screen goes white, and then a second or two later it returns to the normal
view as if nothing happened. This happens sporadically, not every single
time MS Word is launched. No google/yahoo/msn desktop toolbars or desktop
search utilities, so I'm curious to see what is causing this error. There are
no outlook templates stored on the desktop which is known to cause explorer
to crash the desktop and may contribute. Rather clean desktop; no errors
that hint at a memory leak; in fact, no other errors at all on this machine -
just this one. Anyone have ideas?
