Hi, I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on a weird problem that I
am experiencing. I have an Access Db that was created by someone else on
their own workstation about a year ago and has worked fine for some time.
Recently, Another individual modified the Db by adding security accounts for
users which would require the users to supply a username and password upon
logon to the Db and it would give them the appropriate access. This was done
using the built-in User and Group Security features.
It worked fine when testing it on the workstation it was created on. But,
when it was moved to the server directory it no longer asks for any username
or password at all when a user attempts to open it. It just opens the Db to
the main switchboard screen and that is it. The .mdw file is in the same
directory as the mdb file. Is it necessary to redirect Access to the
existing .mdw file since it is on a different machine now? If so how is this
done? Thanks in advance for any assistance on this.
