I deployed Office 2003sp1 to our company through SMS using an compressed CD
image. After I deployed it a lot of users complained about the "show insert
options" in Excel and "show paste options" in both excel and word and a lot
of users also requested to change the macros security settings in excel to
medium. So I created a cmw file using the custom maintenance wizard and
deployed it thru SMS. After I deployed it the new settings for both the macro
security and "show paste option" were changed to the desired settings on the
users machines . However, the "show insert options" changed only when you
initially open Excel but after you close and reopen Excel the check mark
shows up again and enables the feature. I have tried to change it several
times but it keeps enabling it. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
