I had Office 2003. In Word I had this terrific add-in that I could use
in Outlook 2003 as well simpy by setting Word 2003 as the emaileditor.

In Outlook 2007 I seem no longer be able to use add-ins I installed in
Word 2007.

Does anyone know how to do this?

thnx for reading this message and friendly greetings,

The ability to use Word as an e-mail editor has been removed from 2007.
HOWEVER, the built-in editor has most of the features of Word, and can even
run macros copied over from Word, if proper incantantations are added to the
macro.
I don't know about other add-ins.

Actually the Outlook editor has been removed from Outlook 2007, the only
option is WordMail. However, WordMail 2007 is not a subclassing of the
actual Word application as it used to be, but instead it's now a separate
Word dll that has most but not all the features of the actual Word
application. One of the things it doesn't have is the ability to run Word
addins.

So I understand that Word add-ins cannot be run in Outlook unless
they are specifically designed to do so?
