Is it possible to insert text from a vbaform into the
header or footer of a word doc using a bookmark

Yup:

But, are you trying to add it just where the bookmark is
located, or do you want the bookmark to include the text?
For example, pretend the | is a bookmark:

|text goes outside of bookmark

or

|text goes inside bookmark|

Or do you just want to get rid of the bookmark entirely
and insert the text in its place?

Can I chime in here please -
dz,
I have placed text in my header based on input from a text field in a user
form, however, I think I need it to be inside the bookmark and I have done it
outside. How do I make it go inside? I need to be able to have the
information updated/changed at a later time and I think the only way I can
select the correct information is by having it inside the bookmark.
Thanks for any help you can provide

If you need ot update the information, it's better to use a Document
Variable and a DOCVARIABLE field in the header to display the information.
