Username automatically updated in Form field in Word

Hi,

I have created a template with form fields. One of the form fields is the
name of the user who created the document. I want this form field
automatically fill this field with the name of the user (We have a domain
network) who created the document. Can someone help me with the macro I have
to create for this?

HI Doug,

THanks for this. This works but is not the whole solution. I don't need the
user id but the name of the user. So i don't think it is enough to just
retrieve the user id from windows. This needs to be linked with active
directory (where the name is stored).
