Users appearing as inactive after AD sync

Hi,

I keep having some users appearing as inactive after an AD sync with PS
2007. I have set up son Global Groups such as GGEPMExecutive etc and add them
as members of to the relevent user account. I have added all of the GGEPM
groups to PS2007. AD sync happens and imports users which is great, but some
users appear as inactive. These accounts are all active in AD and are similar
to accounts that dont become inactive. I have gone through the accounts
setting them to active and stopping the AD sync. Has anyone experienced this
issue or is aware of any resolutions. Thanks Paul

Hi
If you already have some users in the resource pool and then you try to sync
a AD group the existing users in the pool then become inactive.
The logic in which AD adds users to resource pool is as follows
1. If a user is present in the AD and nto present in the pool then during
the sync it is added
2. If a user is present in the resource pool and not present in the AD then
during the sync the user in the pool is deactivated

Hi Manmeet,

All my users have come from AD accepting my setup account. The sync with AD
imports my users but they almost always appear as inactive, I have added none
of them through Project Server, always through AD sync. If I manually change
them to active the next morning after AD they are inactive again. Any new
users imported from AD should be active but this is not the case, it seems
kind of random, but mostly users will become inactive. By your explanation
of how it works my new AD users should never appear as inactive. I am a
little stumped as to why thsi happens.
