Users having different access to different Projects

Saurabh

Hi,
I have multiple projects loaded on Project Server 2003 and I wanted to give
a particular user different access to the projects. For eg - if I have
Project A and Project B on Server, I want a user to be able to
open/modify/update Project A in Project Professional 2003 but only view
Project B in PWS. Can this be done? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Here's how to do it:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage users and groups link
4. Click the Groups link in the sidepane on the left
5. Select the Project Managers group and click the Modify Group button
6. In the Categories section, select the My Organization category from the
list on the right
7. In the Permissions grid of the Categories section, set the Open Project
permission to Allow
8. In the same Permissions grid, make sure the Save Project permissions is
set to neither Allow or Deny
9. Click the Save Changes button

When you set the above permission, each PM will be able to open his/her own
projects Read/Write, but will only be able to open other PM's project
Read-Only. Hope this helps.
