Using 2 PM's in a project

Hello Dale! It was great meeting you in Seattle last week. I wonder if there were other members of this forum that attended. Well, as you can see by the subject line, I am asking about the 2 PM's in one project taking ownership to specific tasks. Although you explained the answer last week in person, I didn't write it down, and I have so much information in my head from the PTB, I can't remember the specifics. Do you have it documented somewhere so you can just cut and paste it back to me? Sorry I didn't drop you a business card, I meant to.

Nice to see you at the PTB as well. Here's how to address your situation
with two PM's managing sections of the same project:

1. PM#1 opens the project and publishes the project using Collaborate -
Publish - All Information
2. PM#1 saves and closes the project

Completing these two steps will cause all task updates to be directed to
PM#1.

3. PM#2 opens the project and selects only the tasks that he/she will
manage
4. PM#2 clicks Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments, selects the
"Become the manager for these assignments" option and clicks OK
5. PM#2 saves and closes the project

Steps #3-5 will cause the system to redirect the task updates to PM#2 for
only the selected tasks. Hope this helps.
