I have been instructed to use a macro in excel to "import raw data to automate the process for future use." It also instructs me to use cell references to move data from worksheet to worksheet rather than just copy and pasting or typing the data in.... I need help with both of these!!!! I have gotten as far as opening the macro window but am unsure what to put in the large box below "Macro Name:".

If you are using Excel 2008 as per your header, you will need to use XLM
macros. There is no longer any instructional material in general circulation
about xlm macros. If you will forward to me off list, the instructions you
seem to have and a description of the raw data, and what you'd like to see
in Excel when it is imported, I will be happy to provide a quote.

Meanwhile, that window I think you are referring to is where you would enter
a reference to the macro. But, until you generate the macro text, the
reference is meaningless.
