Using a subweb?

J

jboggs

I manage a high school band website that keeps pictures from past years on the site. As the "archive" of pictures grows, so does the length of time to publish. I know that I can exclude a page from being published, can this be done on a folder level? So that once the pictures / and pages are published, FP will not check those again? Or would it be better to use a subweb and choose not to publish the subweb unless necessary

Thanks

What version of FrontPage are you using? Newer versions allow you to select
what files and folders do and do not get published.

Personally, I would set up a subweb for each year, or
perhaps even smaller increments than that.

FP 2003 will allow you to exclude folders. Or, you can download and install
the free FP addin "selective publish" from www.jimcoaddins.com

Then just create a subweb for each, if your host allows.

Yeah, well I can't find it in 2003. I'd like to know if it exists.
If it does, it would be redundent to install yet another add-in
ps, our "buddy" is back! Is there a full moon or something?
