Using a Visio drawing in a Word document

Rich

I am trying to copy a Visio drawing to a Word document. I have copied
several Visio drawings into the document with no problems. However, I have
one drawing that will not copy correctly. When copied it ends up very small
in the middle of the page and is surrounded by big arcs and one big circle.
I have tried saving the file as emz, emf, gif, jpeg, png, wmf and then
inserting. I have tried copy/paste, save to another page and then insert. I
have tried copying the Word document and then trying to copy/paste and
insert. tThe result is always the same. I am using Word and Visio 2003.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I would start by examining the drawing that failed and zooming out as far as
I can. It sounds like you have shapes that are not in the normally viewable
window.

If just one document is messed up, you might try saving it to Visio VDX
format and then load it back in again. This can "clean up" certain problems
with the shapes.

Thanks Al and Mark for your responce. It was shapes that were much bigger
than my drawing and I could not see them. Thanks again Al.
