That depends entirely on the driver software for the device. Word will not
interpret the script generated on the tablet, but if its software converts
the script to characters or is compatible with the OS X Inkwell the data

About Ink
If you have a graphics tablet and stylus, you can use Ink (also called
³Inkwell²) to handwrite text that your computer can recognize and turn into
words. You can also use Ink to draw a sketch and insert it into any document
that can display pictures.

To find out more about Ink, connect a graphics tablet to your computer, and
then click the Ink icon in System Preferences. Turn on handwriting
recognition, and then choose ³Open Ink help² from the Ink toolbar.
