Using Alias accounts with Exchange?

R

rbuhre

Hi - We have a hosted internet POP email service with XO Communications. They
have started to roll out a hosted Exchange solution that we are using so my
boss can utilize his Blackberry better. We also purchased another domain that
is set up as an alias under our main domain. So all users have 2 emails,
essentially. The hosted exchange is tied into his primary email, however. My
boss uses Outlook 2007 on his laptop.
- Is it possible to set up his email with the Exchange server as
([email protected]), but have all replies to messages he sends reply back to his
alias account ([email protected]) ?
- Possibly use a different SMTP or something?
Thanks
Rob

He'd need to use a POP/SMTP account and change the sending account -
Exchange can't use a different From address unless the provider changes the
default SMTP on the account (and it will apply to all messages he sends on
that account).
