using autosum

when I try to use autosum for column of dollar figures instead of total
dollar amount showing, it shows =sum(above). Any help please.

Toggle display of field codes. ALT+F9 or Tools>Options>View>Field Codes
"uncheck"

Using the mouse Right-click on =sum(above) and click on
Toggle Field. That should work!
