using beta, updated it, can't open documents in excel or word!!!

the error message says that it is an issue with the security software on my
computer or that the file is corrupted, but this is wrong.

Any ideas how to correct the problem?

i have the exact same problem - using office 2007 and ran the update
yesterday. everything was fine until the update - now i cant open any type of
office document wheather 97 - 2003 or 2007 type. I know the file isnt corrupt
because i can open it on all of the 5 other PC's in my house. My anti-virus
is up to date (Norton 2006)

PLEASE HEALP US!

Im getting the same. Even if you save a new document in 2007 and then try to
open it, it will NOT open. HELP

I disabled the Protect office files plug-in in norton and now it works fine

Perhaps microsoft should do an update for ovffice 2007 for this problem as i
am sure many people who have office 2007 will have Norton

What you guys think about that?
