using browser to ftp instead of program

Bill

hello,
I am having a problem locating my website when i try to access it through the browswer IE 6.0. When I use ws_ftp i type in my host address and it takes me to a folder that is not my website and there is a green arrow I can press that takes me up to the next level of folders above mine like many office and windows folder views. and I have to press this about three times to get to my web folder. The problem is in IE there is no button to take you up one level of folders. I also tried this in FP but the up one folder level button beside the refresh and delete buttons is grayed out. So my question would be I guess why can I move up folder directories in ws_ftp but not in FP. Thanks for any help Bill

FP can only publish to a folder on a remote server that either has the FP extensions or via FTP to
the folder that is mapped to your FTP account by your host. When dealing with a case like this, you
have to use a 3rd Party FTP application such as ws_ftp to upload.
