using cyrillic fonts in word between pc and mac

I am hoping someone can help me with this problem. I am
transfering word documents from pc to mac,and everything
is fine except I lose the cyrillic (Russian) fonts; when
I open the document on my mac, the cyrillic turns into
dashes and question marks. I noticed that the Russian
fonts on the pc and mac have different names. Any ideas?
