Using Excel 2000. All of a sudden none of my formulas wiil work.

i have tried to get help in excel help and it says more information is
available on the web, I can't find it. I ran disk cleanup and disk defrag
over the weekend. I am running a new computer and transferred my MS Office
2000 to it about 4 months ago and has been working fine until this week. Any
help will be greatly appreciated.

Could it be:

tools|options|calculation Tab
check Automatic.

This is a setting that's picked up from the first workbook you open in that
excel session--so if this was the problem, remember how you fixed it. (You'll
need it again.)

Thanks Dave that was fast great help. I tried it already and yes that works.
I suppose something must have happened after I ran disk cleanup and defrag.

I think it was either caused by a manual change you (or someone using your pc)
or the first workbook that you opened. (If you share workbooks (via a
network???), then your co-worker may like manual calculation.

(I would guess that defrag/clean up didn't do it.)
