With a few hundred tasks it can be quite tedious loading resources and their
respective units and work the conventional way, i.e. using the split window.
Can this be simplified using Excel?
For example, take a project that uses five (5) type of resources. A
spreadsheet could be set up with each row corresponding to a task. Column A
would be the task name. Columns B, C, and D would be the resource name,
units, and work respectively for the first type of resource. Columns E, F,
and G would then be the resource name, units and work respectively for the
second type of resource. And so on and so forth. Can this spreadsheet be
imported into MS Project?
