Using find in outlook

In tasks I have a lengthy list of items. I use the active and detailed
views. I have set the commands so the completed tasks have a strike through
it and no longer
show on the active view, but still show in the detailed view.
My problem is when I am in the active view, which only
shows the items that are not started, and I use the
find command it shows me all the items that are on
the detailed and active view. I only want to see the
not started items.
I just installed this Office 2003 on a new computer. I had been using Office
2000 and had been able to use the find feature to only see the not started
items in
the active view. I set all the automatic formatting and filter choices the
same as I had.
