Using Form on different computers

O

Ocalalou

Dear Colleagues,
We would like to use a form over the network, so people can take a survey on
a number of computers. Access database would have to be in one location
because we can't put the program on more than one computer. The licenses are
too expensive. Is this possible?
We also use Microsoft Sharepoint. Could the form be on a Sharepoint site and
the data stored in the database on a computer? We are using Access 2003.
Please advise. Thanks.

Licenses are per user, so even if you have multiple users sharing the
database you would need multiple licenses. It is also dangerous to have
multiple users accessing the identical file on a computer with the exception
of the back-end data file, which can be accessed by many users when
connected to a front-end (the forms) running from each user's workstation.
