Using JavaScript to Write Macros

I need to save a ppt as html so it can be viewed over the web.
Unfortunately, I have found any macros I wrote in VBA do not work. Is there
a way to write the macros in Javascript (in Microsoft Script Editor) so they
will run on the web? If so, I am interested in finding out how to connect a
script function to a button on the ppt slide.
