Using Maacro to Create Query

How do I create a query that will do this?:

1) I have a table with a field that has values looking
like this:

A-111
A-145
A-166
A-211
A-222

I want to create a query where it'll select only the
records that start wtih A-2 ( and the last two different
digits differ.. but I just relaly need the values that
consist of A-2) or A-1. How do I do this? I have about
at least 80 records, so a query would realy help. I
really don' want to create a whole bunch of tables so my
codes can work.

Please help. I really need to know how to do this in
detail.
