using master projects

when i include pubished projects into my master project i
choose to includ them as read only cause i just use them
for scanning reasons and have the project manager make the
changes in the individual projects...

my problem is that when i publish the master project and
then open it again - i have no actual in them - thus when
i go to resource usage to scan the users working times i
only see a blank sheet!!!

why is that??? what am i doing wrong???
