using MS Project 2003

Hello I am using MS Project and the way we are doing that is by just creating
a project and posting the file in a shared drive where all can see it in read
mode only.
When updates need to be made people send me an email or I meet with them and
update it and update the version on the drive.

What we would like is to know a way to have people view their own tasks
update them by putting % against them without being able to see or update
other people stuff and me as the administrator update and approve their
updates.

How can I do that? I heard of microsoft server 2003 but I have no idea on
how to use it and where to even find good info about it.

Please help thank you

You could certainly use Project Server to meet your team member reporting
needs. However, if you have a small number of project managers and team
members, you might download and use the Workgroup Message Handler add-in
used in previous versions of Project at:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...15-1090-452c-8eba-4025b8976c18&DisplayLang=en

Please note, however, that the Workgroup Message Handler is an option no
longer supported by Microsoft. Hope this helps.
